Forty Seven year old Leo Hynes, from Tuam in Co. Galway is a proud member of Tri Lakes Triathlon Club.
He was a keen triathlete from 2009 – 2012 despite being diagnosed with Macular Degeneration in 2009.
Although treatable for a number of years, the treatment stopped working in 2015, leaving him with just 10% vision in his right eye. He is now considered legally blind.
