Athenry AC Homecoming Arranged for Paul, Athenry Saturday 6th Sept at 8pm The town of Athenry will welcome home one of it's greatest sporting heroes home this Saturday evening and everyone is welcome. Assemble in the Square at 08:00pm Athenry AC is hosting a celebration of Paul Hession's Olympic achievements next Saturday the 6th of September in the Square at 08:00pm. We want everyone to come along and show Paul just how much his efforts have enthralled and entertained us over the last month and how proud we were that he could represent Athenry and Ireland on the world stage in Beijing. We hoping that the people of Athenry will turn out in force to support this celebration of Paul's Olympic sized achievements in Beijing. Members of the Juvenile section of Athenry AC will be there in club attire to cheer our hero and we'll all have the chance to cast our minds back to the days, only a short while ago, when we held our breaths and willed Paul through the finish line.
