Connemara Adventure Challenge Back for 2011
Entries now open With the huge success of our inaugural event in 2010, Connemara Adventure Challenge is coming back for 2011. Last year saw over 800 competitors partake and this year we are closing entries at 2000. The route sees competitors run, cycle and kayak through some of the most spectacular scenery and includes a number of different terrains - forestry, the Western Way, Killary Fjord and bogland. The Challenge is almost half the distances of Gaelforce West at approx 31km in total and it is designed to be achievable by all levels of fitness, from the hard core elite to the Sunday jogger. You do not need to be able to navigate or need any specialised equipment to partake. It is also great stepping stone up the longer Gaelforce West in August.
The event will be held in and around Killary Adventure Centre in Leenane, Co. Galway on the 7th May 2011,and is the first event of the Gealforce Events calender for 2011. For full details, to register or to view other events check out www.gaelforceevents.com/connemara.
